Malacca - Sightseeing Edition

Christ Church Melaka

Located just opposite of Jonker Street. One of the most popular tourist attractions in Malacca.

St. John's Fort

Just follow the corner of road from Dutch's Square (right in front of Christ Church), and climb up some stairs to St. John's Fort. You can find a few walls with cannons which were once used as fort.

St. Paul's Church

The ruins of St. Paul's Church is located on top of St. Paul's hill. You can see tombstones inside of the now empty church. It offers a great view of Straits of Malacca, and leading down to A Farmosa from one of its exit.

Malacca River Cruise

River of Malacca is also named river of bridges. It is located just behind row of shop houses at Jonker Street. On the other side you will pass by St. Francis Xavier's Church during the tour.

I came across Hello Kitty Theme Hotel in Malacca on facebook, and booked the room immediately. Just a reminder to everyone that pictures can be deceiving. I contacted the person in charge through facebook messages, but it just takes too long for the reservation to be completed. My hotel which was located at Jonker Street is RM 300 a night.

Don't expect too much from a this hotel, we changed two rooms as there was totally no air-con at all. Well, at least there are still some Hello Kitty decorations. I think Taiwan or Japan's Hello Kitty hotels will be way better than this.

The hotel or should I call it motel / hostel was opened by owner of New Kong Kee restaurant located on the same street, just a few shops away. Your daily breakfast is served there.

**Update, this hotel has been changed to Doraemon theme if I'm not wrong.
