Star Cruise Virgo

**10th March 2010**

I have always wanted to travel by cruise. Depending on the room types, dining credits will be given upon booking. We get SGD 100 for our balcony class, and three days two nights to Kuala Lumpur costs about SGD 700 per pax inclusive of seaport tax. If you choose to depart on weekends or peak seasons, rates will be different. Check in time is usually in the late evening around 6pm Singapore time. You will definitely put on weight during your cruise trip. There are a total of six meals for a day:

- breakfast
- brunch
- lunch
- tea
- dinner
- supper

All my friends have advised that we skip the Western cuisine. Star Cruise Virgo offers below cuisines which are refillable:

- Western (a-la-carte)
- Chinese (a-la-carte)
- International (buffet)

Dining credits may be used for the below restaurants which are not included in daily meals.

- Japanese
- Indian
- Italian
- Chinese (fine dining)

Cruise ship is like a floating hotel, only more facilities and activities than the actual one. It is specially designed for both young and old. Apart from swimming pool, spa, and jacuzzi, there are also dance performances, little theater, games room, karaoke, library, shops, and saloon. Most important of all, everyone cruise because of its casino.

We had the most authentic Japanese cuisine for lunch, thanks to our dining credit. Chef was friendly, and we enjoyed the teppanyaki as well as vanilla ice-cream.

I like the napkin.. just like baby's bib.
I did not regret getting balcony class as we can just chill by looking out the ocean. Room was small, but enough for both of us. The usual room for four without window is just miserable. If you are to sleep on the upper level of bunk bed, you cannot even breathe as the ceiling is just above your face.

Dinner from Chinese restaurant was satisfying, and we could refill the dishes until all stuffed up.

We went touring around after dinner. There were live band entertaining all guests. Another corner whereby all visitors' photos taken upon boarding were displayed. You can purchase it as a memento.

We loved Chinese food so much that we are having it for lunch again. They never failed to disappoint us.
