Hong Kong Disneyland - A Magical Land Where Dreams Come True

**15th January 2015 - Day One**
We chose our first holiday in 2015 to Hong Kong during mid Jan whereby the weather was about 16 degrees. We would rather travel to cold climate countries than a humid one as we simply could not stand hot weather. This is my fourth visit to Hong Kong, and for this time I just wanted to stay at Disneyland's area.

Baby entertaining himself during flight
We had to settle our lunch at Tsui Wah, Hong Kong airport as we were too famished by the time we reached. Their braised duck, and prawn roe noodles were certainly mouth-watering.

You may purchase tickets at counter before boarding Airport Express Train. I noticed that online tickets' prices are slightly higher. Do remember to get the round trip one as we bought single journey by mistake. Note that child travels for free on Airport Express if he/she has an existing Child Octopus card. However, do check with counter for latest updates.

Single Journey
Online Price: HKD60 (estimated SGD10.50)
Counter Price: HKD45 (estimated SGD8)

Round Trip
Online Price: HKD110 (estimated SGD19)
Kindly check with officers for counter price

**As of current exchange rate, SGD1 is to HKD5.60

On Airport Express!
Kindly get off at Tsing Yi Station which is the first stop, and board MTR to Sunny Bay Station. From there, you will ride on Disneyland's train to Disneyland Resort Station.

It's a must to pose with MTR Station whenever I visit to HK..

Upon reaching Disneyland Resort Station, you will find yourself entering into an old subway like a magical wonderland.

Turn to the left after exiting MTR station, and walk all the way till you see an information board indicating bus schedules. Turn to the left again until you see a signage stating shuttle bus for hotel guests.

Let's pose at the gate first!

It has always been my dream to stay at Disney's Hollywood Hotel since ages ago. I still find their room rates kind of pricey for an average of SGD 400 per night. Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel is around SGD 600 per night (way too expensive for me). The former features Disney's theme while the latter of Victorian's theme.

I could not help but keep snapping away at each corner from the wall, lights to the floor...anything with Disney's characters is a beauty.

Finally, dinner at Studio Lounge to end our day.

Not to forget some games at Arcade before we call it a night.

**16th January 2015 - Day Two**
We bought two-day Disneyland tickets as we would like to relax, and not rushing to play everything within a day. We made the right decision since we were required to queue at least 20 minutes to an hour for almost every attraction. Go for single rider if you don't mind as the queue might be shorter. Do check on Disneyland's website for any ride which are currently closed to avoid disappointment.

Look at the freaking queues waiting to enter at 10am..

**Adventure Land**

Tarzan's Treehouse
Opening Hours : 10am to 6pm | No height limit

Cross the river on a raft to Tarzan's treehouse. I would totally die to live on top of one by the river.

Jungle River Cruise
Opening Hours : 10am to 8:30pm | No height limit

A wonderful boat ride introducing different animals, pretty interesting for young children.

Festival of the Lion King
Performance Times : 12pm, 2pm, 4:30pm, 6pm

Truly an amazing musical show, and we were glad to watch it without much disturbance as we did not take any pictures or videos at all. Below pictures were taken during our year 2008 visit.

**Grizzly Gulch**

Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars
Currently Closed till further notice | Height Limit : At least 112cm

We were lucky as Grizzly Gulch is a new addition, and hubby tried on this roller coaster which he thought that was nothing. Yes, he is not afraid of anything unlike me.

**Mystic Point**

Mystic Manor
Opening Hours : 10am to 8:30pm | No height limit

We skipped Mystic Manor since the staffs had advised us it is not suitable for toddlers as the ride has some loud sound effect, and some dark scary area.

**Toy Story Land**

Toy Soldier Parachute Drop
Opening Hours : 10am to 8:30pm | Height Limit : At least 81cm

This was one of the longest queues we had - at least an hour, but we wanted to take a good look from the top. Baby backed out last minute when it was our turn, and I had to ride alone. Nearly had a heart attack due to my fear of heights..

RC Racer
Opening Hours : 10am to 8:30pm | Height Limit : At least 120cm

Guess this was the more thrilling ride in Disneyland, looked fun though.

Slinky Dog Spin
Opening Hours : 10am to 8:30pm | No height limit

I thought I was going to die as this ride moved quite fast, but I was wrong. It was not too bad, but 45 minutes wait was not worth it.

Some shopping and touring around when Baby is asleep.

**Main Street, USA**

Flights of Fantasy Parade
Performance Time : 3pm

We skipped the day parade since we had enjoyed them in year 2008. This gave us more time to tour around other new additions at Disneyland.

"Disney Paint the Night" Nighttime Spectacular
Performance Time : 7:15pm

Well, this parade is more special with beautiful lighting to brighten up the night.

"Disney in the Stars" Fireworks
Performance Time : 8:30pm

Disneyland's fireworks performance is no doubt still one of the best I have ever seen.

Look at the crowds starting to leave after fireworks..gosh..

Pose with the iconic Mickey on a whale's fountain
**Meals for Day Two**

River View Cafe - Adventure Land
Opens from 12pm to 8pm | Range about HKD100 to HKD200 (SGD17 to SGD35)

Lunch at River View Cafe as I prefer Chinese food. The winter melon soup, and stir fry onion prawns are superb!

Jessie's Snack Roundup - Toy Story Land
Opens from 11am to 7:15pm | HKD100 and below (SGD17 and below)

The curry fish balls, and sweet corn are so delicious that I could eat two sets of them. In fact, most of the snack booths at each Land serve the same type of food, and drinks.

Comet Cafe - Tomorrow Land
Opens from 11:30am to 8:30pm | Range about HKD100 to HKD200 (SGD17 to SGD35)

Comet Cafe serves Chinese cuisine, more of like fast food or quick service. Fried rice, and dumplings are irresistible, probably due to we were too hungry.

**17th January 2015 - Day Three**
We were determined to try out the rest of rides on second day. But first, let me pose with these lovely balloons before we explore Fantasy Land.

I was extremely excited to see my favourite Disney's princess - Cinderella! We queued for about half an hour to catch a glimpse of her, and managed to take some pictures.

**Fantasy Land**

Cinderella Carousel
Opening Hours : 10am to 8:15pm | No height limit

Guess Fantasy Land is the only one I love as all rides are more child-friendly. I'm young at heart, you know. Pardon Baby's just.woke.up.not.enough.sleep.-
face.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Opening Hours : 10am to 8pm | No height limit

Finally, a flying up high ride which Baby enjoyed. He had a chance to control Dumbo from high to low.

Mad Hatter Tea Cups
Opening Hours : 10am to 9pm | No height limit

We love spinning cups!

Mickey's PhilharMagic
Opening Hours : 10am to 9pm | No height limit

All set and ready for our 3D concert movie!

"it's a small world"
Opening Hours : 10am to 9pm | No height limit

An indoor boat ride with with singing children from around the world. Note that pictures were taken back in year 2008.

The Golden Mickeys Presented in Disney's Storybook Theater
Performance Times : 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 3:45pm, 4:45pm, 6pm

A live stage show featuring most of the Disney's characters.

**Tomorrow Land**

Autopia
Opening Hours : 10am to 9pm | Height Limit : At least 81cm

The queue was about an hour and a half, and we decided to miss this ride. Pictures taken in year 2008.

Orbitron
Opening Hours : 10am to 9pm | No height limit

Similar to Dumbo the Flying Elephant, you get to control these spaceships by lowering them or moving up high.

Night view

 **Meals for Day Three**

Royal Banquet Hall - Fantasy Land
Opens from 11:30am to 8:30pm | Range about HKD100 to HKD200 (SGD17 to SGD35)

You will be spoilt for choice with the International cuisines here.

Main Street Market - Main Street, USA
Opens from 10am to 9pm | HKD100 and below (SGD17 and below)

Look at the yummylicious Mickey's crispy waffle!

We spent the night touring around Disneyland Hotel, and it did look majestic.

We managed to catch the grand finale fireworks right in front of Hollywood Hotel's entrance when we reached.

Dinner at Hollywood Hotel's Studio Lounge as we wanted to try out "Choose your own ingredients" pizza. Turned out to be awesome!

Some we-fies to show off our new sunglasses. Baby bought a Winnie the Pooh's water bottle too!

**18th January 2015 - Day Four**
We booked buffet breakfasts at Chef Mickey's restaurant on the last day. You get to pose with Mickey Mouse in less than ten minutes, unlike an hour wait at Disneyland.

Having fun at outdoor playground after checking out.

Feeding the birds outside Disneyland before we leave, and also travelling on Disney's train for one last time.
